Harriet left her post as co-managing partner of Locke Liddell in 2001 to serve as Staff Secretary to President George W. Bush in Washington, DC and was recently appointed to Deputy Chief of Staff. In September of 2003 Governor Rick Perry appointed Liz Lang-Miers to serve as Justice of the 5th District Court of Appeals, which covers Collin, Dallas, Grayson, Hunt, Kaufman, Rockwall and Van Zandt counties.
